Privacy Policy

Effective Date: 2026-02-20
Application: EasyClaw App
Platform: iOS

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how EasyClaw ("we", "us", "our") handles data when you use the EasyClaw mobile application ("App").

EasyClaw is a client-side iOS application that allows users to run AI-powered workflows using either:

  • Built-in AI agents provided by EasyClaw.
  • Custom OpenClaw-compatible configurations added and controlled by the user.

EasyClaw follows a privacy-first, explicit-consent-based architecture. AI-powered features are disabled by default until the user provides explicit consent.

2. User Consent and AI Data Processing

2.1 Explicit Consent Requirement

Before any user content is transmitted to third-party AI services or external infrastructures, EasyClawrequires explicit, informed user consent.

During onboarding and in App settings, users are clearly informed:

  • What categories of data may be transmitted.
  • To which type of AI service or infrastructure.
  • For what purpose.

If the user does not provide consent, AI-powered features remain disabled, and no user content is transmitted.

2.2 Withdrawal of Consent

Users may withdraw consent at any time via App settings.

Upon withdrawal:

  • All AI-powered features are disabled.
  • No further user content is transmitted to any AI provider or external infrastructure.

3. Data We Collect

3.1 Account Information

EasyClaw does not require user accounts to access core functionality.

If optional support features are used, we may collect:

  • Email address (for support communication only).

3.2 User Content

If AI features are enabled with user consent, EasyClaw processes content voluntarily provided by the user, including:

  • Messages and prompts.
  • Agent instructions.
  • Uploaded files or documents.
  • Workspace data.
  • Search queries.

User content is processed solely to perform the requested AI functionality, such as:

  • AI agent execution.
  • Summarization.
  • Extraction.
  • Tool-based workflows.

3.3 Connection and Configuration Data

EasyClaw may store locally on the user's device:

  • AI provider selections.
  • Server URLs.
  • OpenClaw configuration parameters.
  • API keys or authentication tokens entered by the user.

This data remains under the user's control and is used only to establish connections explicitly configured by the user.

3.4 Analytics (Optional)

EasyClaw may collect limited, non-personal analytics data related to:

  • App stability.
  • Performance.
  • Feature reliability.

Analytics:

  • Do not include user content.
  • Are not used for advertising or tracking.
  • May be disabled where supported.

4. AI Processing Modes and Data Flow

EasyClaw supports multiple AI processing modes. Data flow depends on the mode selected by the user.

4.1 Built-in OpenAI Agents (Managed Mode)

If the user enables built-in AI agents provided by EasyClaw:

  • User content (such as prompts, messages, and files) is transmitted to OpenAI for AI processing.
  • Data is transmitted only after explicit user consent.
  • OpenAI processes data in accordance with its own privacy policy.

EasyClaw does not use this data for advertising and does not retain AI content on its own servers by default.

4.2 User-Provided OpenClaw Configurations (Custom Mode)

EasyClaw allows users to add and connect their own OpenClaw-compatible configurations, including:

  • Self-hosted OpenClaw servers.
  • Third-party OpenClaw deployments.
  • Custom AI infrastructures fully controlled by the user.

In this mode:

  • EasyClaw acts solely as a technical client interface.
  • User content is transmitted directly to the infrastructure specified by the user.
  • EasyClaw does not control, monitor, or store data processed by user-provided OpenClaw configurations.

Users are solely responsible for:

  • The infrastructure they connect.
  • The AI providers used within that infrastructure.
  • The privacy and security practices of those systems.

4.3 Public Web Sources

When web search features are enabled, EasyClaw may retrieve and summarize information from publicly available online sources.

5. How We Use Data

Data is used strictly for the following purposes:

  • Providing core App functionality.
  • Enabling user-configured AI workflows.
  • Improving performance and stability.
  • Responding to support requests.

EasyClaw does not sell personal data and does not use data for advertising or cross-app tracking.

6. Data Retention

  • User content and configuration data are stored on-device until deleted by the user or by uninstalling the App.
  • EasyClaw does not retain AI content on its own servers by default.
  • Support communications may be retained temporarily to resolve issues and maintain support records.

7. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data under our control.

Users are responsible for:

  • Securing their devices.
  • Protecting API keys and credentials.
  • Securing self-hosted or third-party infrastructures they connect.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

8. User Rights

Depending on applicable law, users may have rights to:

  • Access their personal data.
  • Request correction or deletion.
  • Restrict certain processing activities.

Requests may be submitted via email. Verification may be required.

9. Children's Privacy

EasyClaw is not intended for children under 13 years of age (or the minimum age required by local law).

If we become aware that personal data of a child has been collected, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be published with a revised effective date.
